
For the two three-year terms opening on the Swampscott School Committee, we enthusiastically endorse incumbent Suzanne Wright and Keiko Zoll. Both have shown they understand the five-member committee’s statutory role of creating policy, supervising the superintendent and approving the district’s budget.
Zoll ran unsuccessfully for School Committee in 2019. And she did not let the defeat discourage her from staying involved. No, she joined the Swampscott School Building Communitte’s Communication Subcommittee. She is also active in the Stanley School Parent Teacher Organization.
What has really impressed us about Zoll is her command of district needs and issues as a relatively newcomer to the Swampscott community. She is intelligent and, as we have witnessed, not afraid to freely speak her mind.
